Squaring / chamfering control system
Even though final sorting is necessary to guarantee quality and Customer satisfaction, it is clearly a product check: equally important is the process control which affects yields, factory efficiency and profitability.
 In response to this, TECNOEXAMINA has used its technology derived from final sorting, to introduce a solution to check squaring and, for the very first time, chamfering.
The machine, called XRB is located immediately after squaring, where it checks the whole production and issues the necessary commands for moving the grinding wheels automatically.
XRB offers significant advantages over manual procedure of periodic sampling and measuring, thus allowing a higher, more constant quality level together with material optimization.
Main features are:
- Tile size up to 60x120 or 90x120 (XRB900 version)
- Local or remote console (up to 50 meters)
- 100% production control
- Programmable regulation range in 5/100 mm. steps

- Semi-automatic and automatic modes of operation
- Separate threshold setting respectively of Warning and Alarms over the entire batch, consecutive defects or number of defects over the last 100 pieces
- Independent Alarms for single specific faults (dimension, cushion, trapezium, diagonal ....)
- Optional audio or customary visible alarms when diagonal faults occur, and optional line stoppage of tile feeding
- Optional audio or customary visible alarms when motors have reached maximum regulation range, and optional line stoppage of tile feeding
- Statistics, organized by batch and/or product with local display, local or remote printing over the existing factory network
In addition, as in all other TECNOEXAMINA systems, XRB can be remotely supervised, and makes all statistical data available for further processing.
